Paris Hilton says in an interview from jail she's a changed woman who now appreciates "things I took for granted" and plans to use her fame "in a good way."

"I'm so much more grateful for everything that I have, even just to have a pillow at night or food," Hilton told E! News's Ryan Seacrest in a phone conversation from Century Regional Correctional Facility.

Hilton, who is scheduled to be released next week, says she plans to use her celebrity for good – and doesn't want to be the object of ridicule anymore.

"You know my gratitude has gone up so much and I just realize that the media used me to make fun of and be mean about it," she tells Seacrest in the interview for Thursday's show. "Frankly [I'm] sick of it and I want to use my fame in a good way."

Of her life behind bars, Hilton, who was jailed for violating probation for driving with a suspended license, says it's been difficult being kept from her family. "I am behind glass and I want to give my dad a big hug and they won't even let me do that."

She also insists that she is not receiving any special treatment in jail. "That's how the rules are, you have to be behind glass," she said. "I'm not a criminal, I'm not dangerous, so it makes me feel like that. It's hard but I'm stronger everyday."

As for the future, Hilton says: "I just can't wait to see my family and have a nice meal and be in my own bed and appreciate all the things I took for granted and never really thought much about."

Lynne Spears says her daughter Britney, whose public meltdown included shearing off her own locks, is "just figuring things out." "It's sad that the whole world had to watch her make mistakes that all of us have made at one time or another," Spears is quoted as telling Us Weekly magazine in its latest issue.

The 25-year-old pop star completed a monthlong stay at a luxury Malibu, Calif., rehabilitation treatment facility in March after attracting an onslaught of media attention for wild behavior that included partying with Paris Hilton and a stop at a San Fernando Valley hair salon, where she shaved her own head.

Britney Spears, who reached a divorce settlement with aspiring rapper Kevin Federline in March, recently posted a message on her Web site saying she had been acting like a "bad kid running around with ADD (attention deficit disorder)."

The singer filed for divorce from Federline in November, just two months after giving birth to the couple's second child, Jayden James. Their older son, Sean Preston, was born in September 2005.

"Everything is going to be good," Lynne Spears tells the magazine. "Everything is going to be really good. I can see her life picking up and it's just going to hold great things for her."

"Britney Jean Spears is the sweetest and the most sensitive and loving of all my children," says Spears, the mother of three children with ex-husband Jamie Spears. "She's just figuring things out."

Former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham's upcoming NBC reality series will instead run as an hour-long special, the network said Wednesday .

"Victoria Beckham: Coming to America" will air at 8 p.m. July 16. As the title suggests, it will focus on Posh Spice's relocation to Los Angeles from London with her husband, football star David Beckham.

NBC announced the project as a six-episode series in February. But there was recent speculation in the British media about problems on the show once David Beckham was recalled to play with the English national team late last month. He is set to play with Major League Soccer's Los Angeles Galaxy after his contract with Real Madrid expires June 30.

If the NBC special is a success, it's believed that it could lead to more specials or a series.

Paris Hilton was subjected to a full cavity search when she entered prison, it has been claimed.
All prisoners entering California's Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood are subjected to a full strip and invasive search upon arrival and the hotel heiress was no exception, according to gossip website TMZ.com.

It had been previously claimed Paris would not undergo the search for contraband items.
But an inside source said: "Paris was told to spread 'em just like everyone else."
It is not known if anything was found on her person.
The 26-year-old blonde has spent her third night in solitary confinement at the correctional facility.

Sources say she isn't wearing make-up and has removed her trademark blue contact lenses to reveal her natural brown eyes.
The socialite has been crying and complaining she is cold.
One source said: "She looks unwashed, she has no make-up and her hair is tangled. She cried audibly through the first two nights."

Marilyn Manson says he is the vampire of love. The 38-year-old goth rocker - who is dating 19-year-old actress Evan Rachel Wood - says he preys on young women and wants to "consume" them. Marilyn said in a magazine interview: "I've always though that association, with the romanticism of vampires, was a bit too obvious a fit for me.

"But a vampire is only something that can be killed by stabbing it through the heart. And that's my weakness, metaphorically.

"Love can destroy you. But also a vampire is a character that only comes out at night-time, and ultimately preys on young women. And drinks blood. "This idea of consuming someone, whether it's literal or a metaphor, is quite romantic." The controversial star also revealed he uses caviar as part of an extravagant sex game. He said: "I can order caviar and throw it away. That's decadent, isn't it? I did it last night! The record company were paying though. And there was sex involved."

Paris Hilton's brief dalliance with the music industry is over, according to British media reports. The celebrity socialite released her debut single STARS ARE BLIND earlier this year (06) to a warm reception, but her subsequent album bombed in the charts. A source tells the Daily Star, "You don't need to worry about listening to any more music from Paris - there won't be any. "Her career as a singer is going to be allowed to quietly go away."

They're like 007. Tara could push my grandmother down the stairs and I would just say “wow, look at her go, you must work out." But she really did seem grateful at the press conference. Maybe now she'll use her powers of hotness for good. Like I do with my karate.

The model wants her 34FF breasts reduced but doctors advised her to wait a bit more after Jordan caught a nasty cold a few weeks ago. Due to her serious cold the star couldn't go ahead with the operation, scheduled to take place last month.
"I was supposed to have it done a couple of weeks ago but because I've got a cold they couldn't put me under anesthetic,' Jordan explained. "I'm gutted because I had it booked in for ages. I'm booked up now so I've got to put up with them for another year by the looks of it."

However, this delay did not change Jordan's mind. She still wants to go on with the procedure and have her breasts reduced as soon as possible.
She said: "I can't wait! I'll still have big boobs but smaller than they are now. They'll just be pert and higher up. At the moment I'm wearing my own range of lingerie as they really do help perk up your boobs."
Jordan, real name Katie Price is renowned for her multiple breast augmentations, and her flamboyant personal life. Her behaviour and lifestyle are often questioned, and even she describes herself as "famous for being famous."
Jordan appeared in six volumes of Playboy's Book of Lingerie from 1997 to 2003 and has been a constant presence in British tabloids and celebrity/lifestyle magazines.

NEW YORK - Which child rules the roost in the Angelina Jolie-Brad Pitt family? "I bet if you asked Brad, he'd say Zahara," the 31-year-old actress tells People magazine in an interview posted Wednesday on its Web site.
Zahara, who will be 2 next month, is the couple's middle child. They have a 5-year-old son, Maddox, and a 6-month-old daughter, Shiloh.
"Mad is very smart, but he's got a certain sense of calm. Zahara is possibly the funniest person I've ever met in my life. So dramatic and creative and loud and charming," Jolie says. "She's definitely the biggest personality in the house."
Who's the family disciplinarian?
"I am," Jolie says. "Brad can be, but if Z doesn't get the bottle from me, she'll very quickly run to Daddy."
Jolie, who stars opposite Matt Damon in the upcoming drama "The Good Shepherd," says she and Pitt are proud parents.
"Somebody said to us recently that they were happy kids, and we talked about how much that meant to us to hear," she says. "And they're good kids. God knows how we managed to do that - but they're good kids."
The Jolie-Pitt clan, frequently photographed visiting far-flung and exotic places, is a nomadic one. Jolie has traveled throughout the world as a goodwill ambassador of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees. Maddox was adopted from Cambodia, Zahara was adopted from Ethiopia, and Jolie gave birth to Shiloh in Namibia, where the family had traveled for privacy.
"It's hard, and maybe one day we'll have to stay in one place," Jolie says. "I'm sure (the kids are) going to be 18 and say, `God, I just want to stay in one place.' They'll never want to leave home!"

The lastest from the front line in the Brit/K-Fed war: the wannabe rapper allegedly cheated on his missus and is also hawking a sex tape of theirs around to the highest bidder.
The allegations were made in yesterday's (November 12) News Of The World.
The tab reports that Kevin is demanding £16m from Britney as a payoff for the tape even though one online film company is already reported to be offering to take the "red hot" video off Kev's hands for £26m.
The tabloid also reported that the final straw for Britney was finding Kevin with another woman in his New York hotel room last week.
A source told the paper, "She raced up to his room and found another girl in there. They didn't need to be doing anything. Just the fact she was in there was enough to confirm months of suspicions, rumors and accusations about him playing away."
Strangely however, Fed's ex, Shar Jackson has stood up in defence of her ex (yes the man that cheated on her with Britney in the first place!)
The actress said, "Everybody looks at the situation when Kevin cheated on me. He looked at that situation and knew he was wrong. I don't think that's a mistake he'd make again."
And if Britney's interested, HER ex - hubby of 55 hours Jason Alexander has also offered his support. He's urged Britney, “Give me a call. I’m a good guy to talk to … and I’m here for you.”
