President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev today presented the country’s highest award, the order “Istiqlal” (Independence), to People’s Artist of Azerbaijan and MP, Mrs. Zeynab Khanlarova. President Ilham Aliyev highly praised Mrs. Khanlarova’s services as the people’s favorite singer as well as her activity as a member of parliament. The head of State wished the People’s Artist success and robust health. Thanking the President for the award, Z. Khanlarova, in particular, said, “the highest award for an artist is a recognition by his president and people”.
