Mr. President,National TV and Radio Council of Azerbaijan made a decision not to
prolong license for broadcast of ANS TV and ANS ChM Radio Station, to shut down
the broadcast at 3 pm (11 am GMT) on November 24 and to announce a tender for
ANS frequencies. It is several days that Azerbaijani audience is without ANS TV
and ANS ChM. ANS TV, the first independent TV in post-soviet space, the TV with
15 years history and original place in independence history of Azerbaijan had
always been in the center of attention of Heydar Aliyev. Heydar Aliyev always
held ANS up as an example for other TV channels. And we believe You to follow
just Heydar Aliyev course. And this makes us to hope that a TV, which played an
important role in the newest history of Azerbaijan and is distinguished in
international community for its correctness, objectiveness and honesty will
continue its broadcast.Mr. President,During its activity ASN made reports from
Qarabaq, Chechnya, Georgia, Osetiya, Abkhazia, Ingushetia, Afghanistan, Iraq and
other conflict zones. ANS reminds everybody of the hottest points of Qarabaq
war, launched by Armenia against Azerbaijan. Archive of ANS contains the most
valuable materials about the struggle of Azerbaijan for its freedom and
independence, about Qarabaq war. This archive is unique wealth of Azerbaijan.
We, ANS collective are always ready to fight for our statehood, independence and
to realize all your orders as Commander-in-Chief. We hope that ANS, platform for
free speech, school for Azerbaijani youth will continue its struggle for our
statehood. Hundreds of ANS contributors became out of job. Besides, it is a
great damage to increasing democratic image of Azerbaijan in Euro-Atlantic
space. Here we refer to the phrase by You, the person always been attentive to
free speech: "ANS is leading and independent TV of Azerbaijan. It has original
style. Especially I highly assess role of ANS in growing the youth in the spirit
of patriotism".Mr. President,We have all hopes to You. Don't let the free speech
